The resumption date for the commencement of the 2014/2015 academic session of primary and secondary schools in Osun State has been postponed to September 15, 2014.
Osun State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mr. Segun Odubela, announced the decision in statement on Thursday.
Odubela said the change followed the Federal Ministry of Education’s directive to schools nationwide.
Following the outbreak of Ebola virus disease, the Federal Government had directed primary and secondary schools in the country to put on hold their resumption dates.
Odubela urged parents and guardians to take proper care of their children and wards by monitoring their movement and engaging them in academic activities.
