The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has commenced the sales of it 2015/2016 academic session professional diploma programmes in the Business School. No JAMB is required to apply!

Suitably qualified candidates are invited to apply  for   admission   into   the underlisted professional diploma programmes in the Ilorin Business School, which shall run on part –time (evening class) mode.

DIPLOMA IN ACCOUNTING AND DATA PROCESSING (DADP)

The duration of the programme shall normally be two (2) academic sessions.

Admission Requirement: Candidate should have five (5) credits in not more than two sittings in GCE/SSCE/NECO/NABTEB (O/L) including English, Mathematics and any two of Accounting, Economics, Geography, Business Methods, Statistics, Government or any numerate science subject.

Holders of Accounting Technician Certification (ATC) of ICAN may also apply.

DIPLOMA IN ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT (DAM)

The duration of the programme shall normally be two (2) academic sessions.

Admission Requirement: Candidate should have five (5) credits in not more than two sittings in GCE/SSCE/NECO/NABTEB (O/L) including English and at least a pass in Mathematics.

DIPLOMA IN MONEY AND BANKING (DM&B)

The duration of the programme shall normally be two (2) academic sessions.

Admission Requirement: Candidate should have five (5) credits in not more than two sittings in GCE/SSCE/NECO/NABTEB (O/L) including English, Mathematics and Economics.

DIPLOMA IN SOCIAL ADMINISTRATION (DSA)

The duration of the programme shall normally be two (2) academic sessions.

Admission Requirement: Candidate should have five (5) credits in not more than two sittings in GCE/SSCE/NECO/NABTEB (O/L) including English and at least a pass in Mathematics. Holders of Professional Certificates in Social Work can apply

DIPLOMA IN CRIME CONTROL (DCC)

The duration of the programme shall normally be two (2) academic sessions.

Admission Requirement: Candidate should have five (5) credits in not more than two sittings in GCE/SSCE/NECO/NABTEB (O/L) including English and at least a pass in Mathematics. Holders of Professional Certificates in Social Work can apply

DIPLOMA IN ARTS AND CRAFT (DA&C)

The duration of the programme shall normally be two (2) academic sessions.

Admission Requirement: Candidate should have five (5) credits in not more than two sittings in GCE/SSCE/NECO/NABTEB (O/L) including English and at least a pass in Mathematics and any other two sciences, social sciences and vocational subjects.

DIPLOMA IN COMPUTER SCIENCES (DCS)

The duration of the programme shall normally be two (2) academic sessions.

Admission Requirement: Candidate should have five (5) credits in not more than two sittings in GCE/SSCE/NECO/NABTEB (O/L) which must include English, Mathematics, Physics and any of the following: Chemistry, Statistics, Geography, Biology/Agricultural Sciences and Economics

DIPLOMA IN FITNESS INSTRUCTION AND EXERCISE THERAPY (DFI&ET)

The duration of the programme shall normally be two (2) academic sessions for fresh candidates and one year for holders of certificate in Fitness and Exercise Therapy and degree holders in related fields from recognized institution.

Admission Requirement: Candidate should have five (5) credits in not more than two sittings in GCE/SSCE/NECO/NABTEB (O/L). The Subject must include English, and three others from Physical Education, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Health Sciences, Biology, Agricultural Sciences, Government, Accounting, Economics, Commerce and any other Sciences/Social Sciences Subjects.

Certificate in fitness instruction and Exercise Therapy from University of Ilorin or from an accredited instruction is acceptable.

DIPLOMA IN SPORTS ADMINISTRATION AND COACH (DSA&C)

The duration of the programme shall normally be two (2) academic sessions for fresh candidates and one year for graduates of Human Kinetics.

Admission Requirement: Candidate should have four (4) credits in not more than two sittings in GCE/SSCE/NECO/NABTEB (O/L). The Subject must include English Language. And any three from Physical Education, Geography, Commerce, Economics, Accounting, Government, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Sciences and any other social science/Arts subjects.

DIPLOMA IN INSTRUCTIONAL RADIO AND TELEVISION IN EDUCATION (DIR&TE)

The duration of the programme shall normally be two (2) academic sessions.

Admission Requirement: Candidate should have minimum five (5) passes at credit level (in any sciences, social sciences and vocational subjects) which must including English Language. However, candidates willing to proceed to the degree level must possess the prerequisite of five GCE/SSCE/NECO/NABTEB (O/L) passes at credit level for relevant programme.

DIPLOMA IN PHOTOGRAPHY (DP)

The duration of the programme shall normally be two (2) academic sessions.

Admission Requirement: Candidate should have minimum of five (5) credits at GCE/SSCE/NECO/NABTEB (O/L) including English Language and any science, social sciences and vocational subjects.

DIPLOMA IN FINANCIAL STUDIES (DFS)

The duration of the programme shall normally be two (2) academic sessions.

Admission Requirement: Candidate should have five (5) credits in not more than two sittings in GCE/SSCE/NECO/NABTEB (O/L) including English and Mathematics and any Three of Accounting, Economics, Commerce and Geography, Business Methods, Statistics, Government Holders of ICBN may also apply.

DIPLOMA IN MANAGEMENT STUDIES (DMS)

The duration of the programme shall normally be two (2) academic sessions.

Admission Requirement: Candidate should have five (5) credits at GCE/SSCE/NECO/NABTEB (O/L) or equivalents including English, Mathematics and any other three subjects from Financial Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Geography and Government.

DIPLOMA IN MARKETING AND LOGISTIC (DM&L)

The duration of the programme shall normally be two (2) academic sessions.

Admission Requirement: Candidate should have at least five (5)  credits in not more than two sittings in GCE/SSCE/NECO/NABTEB/IJMB (O/L) including English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and one other social science subject.

DIPLOMA IN STATISTICS (DS)

The duration of the programme shall normally be two (2) academic sessions.

Admission Requirement: Candidate should have five (5) credits in not more than two sittings in GCE/SSCE/NECO/NABTEB (O/L). The Subject must include English, Mathematics, and any two from the following: Statistics, Geography, Further Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology/Agricultural Sciences and Economics.

DIPLOMA IN ARABIC AND ISLAMIC STUDIES (DAIS)

The duration of the programme shall normally be two (2) academic sessions.

Admission Requirement: Candidate should have at least five (5)  credits in not more than two sittings in GCE/SSCE/NECO/NABTEB/ (O/L) which must include Arabic and Islamic Studies and at least a pass in English

Higher Islamic Studies Certificate (HISC)/Senior Islamic School Certificate (SISC) with Credit/Merit in at least three subjects including Arabic and Islamic Studies.

Senior Arabic certificate (Asha –hadat al-thanawiyyat/At –tawjihiyyah) with at least Jayyid (Merit) and ability to speak and write good English.

COLLECTION AND SUBMISSION

The closing date for collection and submission of application forms shall be six weeks from the date of this advertisement.

METHODS OF APPLICATION

Application forms are to be downloaded from the school’s website www.ibs.unilorin.edu.ng. Completed application forms with credentials should be submitted to the ILORIN BUSINESS SCHOOL along with a bank draft of N10, 000.00 (Ten Thousand Naira Only) payable to the Ilorin Business School, University of Ilorin.
