Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma Signs a Memorandum of Understanding with the Management of Demah Nig. Ltd., Benin City for the Construction of 500 Rooms Students Hostel Accommodation.

The desire of the University Management to transform the land scape of the University has started to manifest. The realization of the above dream came to light on Thursday, 26th July, 2016 when the Memorandum of Understanding for the construction of 500 Rooms Students Hostel accommodation was signed by the Management of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma and the Management of Demah Nig. Ltd., Benin City.
The ceremony which brought about delight to both parties, the University Management in particular, witnessed the enthusiasm and readiness of the Construction Company to complete and deliver to the University at a recorded time.
In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. I.A. Onimawo thanked the Management of Demah Nigeria Construction Company for keeping to their promise of commencing the job with or without the signing of any document, which he noted has re-enforced the confidence of the University on the ability of the Company to deliver on schedule.
According to the Vice-Chancellor, “the Memorandum of Understanding is irrevocable and binding on both parties”. He however suggested that the Building Department, Faculty of Environmental Studies, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma be accommodated as partner in the area of moulding of blocks at a rate that would be agreeable to both parties, with a view to boosting the Internally Generated Revenue for the Department.
In his response, the Managing Director, Demah Nig. Ltd., Mr. Okuneye Olasunkanmi indicated the readiness of his Company to do business with the University as he announced that the ground breaking ceremony would be done soonest.
The high point of the ceremony was the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. I.A. Onimawo and the Registrar, Sir Chris M. Adamaigbo on the part of the University and Mr. Okuneye Olasunkanmi and Mrs. Okuneye Kaje on the part of Demah Nig. Limited, Benin City.
The ceremony was witnessed by the two Deputy Vice-Chancellors, Bursar and University Librarian and some senior staff of the University as well as Mr. Raphael Ibodeme, Manager, Zenith Bank Plc, Ekpoma.
