AAUA Places Premium on Due Process, Academic Excellence - VC

The Vice Chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State, Nigeria, Prof. Igbekele Ajibefun, has said that the leadership of AAUA places high premium on academic excellence and due process in the implementation of its projects.

Prof. Ajibefun said this while receiving the Federal Government Needs Assessment team in his office on Monday last week.

He said, “The University places high premium on academic excellence and due process in the implementation of its projects. At AAUA, excellence is a culture which we ceaselessly place on the front burner.”

The VC enjoined the team to endeavour to spend quality time to assess projects other than those built by the Federal Government and to assist in facilitating fund such that the University can maximally benefit from government programmes.

The Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration), Professor Francis Oyebade, who corroborated the Vice Chancellor’s stance, said, “The University will be prudent in the release of fund in a way that will encourage the team to recommend Adekunle Ajasin University for more funds.”

Responding, the Chairman of the team, Comrade Sani Suleiman, said he was impressed with the level of infrastructural development in the University, noting that he was not surprised that AAUA has been mentioned as the best State University in Nigeria.

Suleiman said, “We are impressed with the infrastructural feat of the University. We are not surprised that the University has been mentioned as the nation’s best State University. The past leaders of the University are commended for putting aside selfish interests to build the University to this level.”
