General Admission Requirements
All applicants must have at least five (5) OβLevel credit passes, including English and Mathematics.
Candidates must submit an online application and upload scanned copies of their credentials, including the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Discharge or Exemption Certificate.
Official academic transcripts should be sent to the Secretary of the School of Postgraduate Studies at Bingham University, Karu, Nasarawa State.
Applicants must also submit three (3) letters of reference from individuals who have taught or worked with them.
The printed application form, along with the required documents, must be submitted to the School of Postgraduate Studies.
Specific Requirements
PhD Programmes
Applicants for the PhD programme must have a master’s degree from Bingham University or any recognised institution, with a minimum CGPA of 4.00 on a 5.00 scale.
Postgraduate Diploma Programmes
Candidates seeking admission into postgraduate diploma programmes must have at least a third-class degree or its equivalent.
Alternatively, a Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least Lower Credit or its equivalent is acceptable.
Masters Programmes
For academic master’s degrees, candidates must have a second-class lower division or a relevant postgraduate diploma with a CGPA of at least 3.00 from Bingham University or any recognised university.
For professional master’s programmes, candidates must meet the same requirements, or hold a postgraduate diploma in the relevant area, with at least a lower credit.
How to Apply for Bingham University Postgraduate Admission
Online applications are available from 2nd September 2024 for the 2024/2025 session.
The non-refundable application fees are as follows:
- M.Sc Programmes β β¦25,000
- PGD Programmes β β¦20,000
- PhD Programmes β β¦30,000
Applicants must request their former institutions to send their academic transcripts to the Secretary of the School of Postgraduate Studies at Bingham University, Karu, Nasarawa State.
Please note that all postgraduate programmes are full-time, and the university does not provide accommodation for postgraduate students.

Completed forms must be printed and submitted to the School of Postgraduate Studies along with:
- NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate
- Three (3) Letters of Reference
- Official academic transcripts
