Borno State University (BOSU) Registration Procedure

Borno State University (BOSU) has announced the registration procedure for newly admitted and returning students for the 2022/2023 academic session. Following the earlier circular dated 14th March 2023, registration will commence from Monday, 27th March 2023 and end on 27th April 2023. Late registration with a penalty will be available from Monday, 1st May 2023, for one week only.

BOSU Registration Procedure

To ensure a smooth registration process, students are advised to follow the steps outlined below:

Step I: Clearance for Newly Admitted Students Newly admitted students must visit their respective departments for clearance after collecting their admission letter from the Admission office.

Step II: Portal Login for Newly Admitted Students New students should log in to the university portal (https://bosu.safsrms.com/) using their JAMB Registration number as the username and “20222023” as the password.

Step III: Portal Login for Returning Students Returning students must log in to the student portal using their ID Number (Registration Number) and passwords. If students have forgotten their passwords, they should click on the “Forgot Your Password” button on the login page to receive a password reset link via email.

Step IV: Payment Click on the “Proceed to Payment” link, review the displayed payment schedule, and click “Proceed” to generate an RRR invoice. Make payments at any bank branch or use ATM cards. Print the Remita payment receipt and online payment receipt for submission to the Bursary Unit. (Warning: Do not make payments to any office/staff. Payments should only be made at bank branches or using ATM cards.)

Step V: ID Number Issuance New students must present the following documents to their respective Faculty Officers for the issuance of their ID Number and then visit the ICT Registration Officer for an ID Number update:
a) Admission Letter
b) Clearance Form
c) Remita payment receipt and Online Payment receipt

Step VI: Bio-data Update New students must update their bio-data by clicking on the “Profile” button.

Step VII: Course Registration After successful payment, register for both first and second-semester courses by clicking the “Course Registration” button. Print the course registration forms and present them to your Level Coordinators and Examinations and Records Unit for signing.

Step VIII: Document Submission Submit copies of the following documents to your respective faculties, departments, and Examinations and Records Unit for authentication as a duly registered student of Borno State University:
a) Course registration forms
b) Remita payment receipt and Online Payment receipt
c) Photocopies of relevant documents (Admission letter, O’level, A’level, Bio-data form, and Indigene Letter)
