Benue State Varsity VC Advices Students to Go for HIV, AIDS Test:

Prof. Charity Angya, the Vice-Chancellor, Benue State University, Makurdi, on Thursday advised students of the institution to go for HIV and AIDS test to know their health status.

Angya, who gave the advice at the university’s 22nd matriculation ceremony, also advised them against unprotected sexual encounters.

“If you check your status and you are already infected, please go for treatment and do not pass on the virus,” she said.

Angya also advised them against vices such as cultism and avoid taking drugs.

She told the students that administration of matriculation oath was a covenant between them and the university.

The vice chancellor said that the institution matriculated 4,900 students. (NAN)
