2022 Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Results
See how you can now check your 2022 UTME result online (via the JAMB result checking portal and offline (via SMS). The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) authority has announced that candidates who participated in its 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, otherwise known as UTME, can now check their results.
The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is recognised by law to conduct entrance examinations into Nigeria’s various universities/polytechnics/colleges/other tertiary institutions.
Candidates that participated in the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted between Saturday, 6th May and Sunday, 15th May 2022, can now check their results online or via SMS.
How to Check 2022 JAMB Result
There are two options for checking JAMB results. Candidates can check their results online (through the JAMB portal) or via SMS (using JAMB shortcodes).
Using the online option is totally free, you only need an internet-enabled device to be able to check your result. The SMS option is good for candidates with no internet-enabled device or candidates in locations with a terrible network. However, network providers will charge for using the SMS option.
As of the time of this publication, the 2022 JAMB results are yet to be uploaded online. Candidates can only check their results via SMS [this is the only process of checking the 2022 UTME results for now as the Board has not uploaded it on its website for obvious reasons.]
Check JAMB Result Offline (via SMS)
- All candidates can now send UTMERESULT (without spacing) via SMS, to 55019 or 66019 using the same number used for registration (you must have a credit balance of at least N50 on your line). The result would be replied to you as an SMS shortly after.
The following are the responses to be expected:- If a candidate uses a phone number that was not used to register, a message will be sent to him thus: ‘This phone number was not used for registration.”
- A candidate with a result will receive the message: “Dear Mr/Miss X, your result is as follows… (and the details will be provided).
- A “Result Withheld” message will be sent to the candidate if a result is withheld.
- Suppose a candidate belongs to the category being given the benefit of the doubt. In that case, the message to the person will be: “Result withheld pending the upload of clarifications/document required from you.”
- If a candidate were absent, s/he would get “CANDIDATE ABSENT” as feedback
- A candidate that was ABSENT WITH REGISTRATION NUMBER also CANCELLED will be so informed.
- “Invalid Entrance into the Exam Hall” will be sent to a candidate who gained unauthorised access to the examination hall.
Check JAMB Result Online (on JAMB portal – jamb.gov.ng)
- STEP 1: Visit the Joint Admission and Matriculations Board (JAMB) result checking portal at https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/eFacility_/CheckUTMEResults
- STEP 2: Supply your Registration Number/Phone Number in the required column
- STEP 3: Finally, Click on the ‘Check My Results’ button to access your UTME results notification
The portal will return your JAMB Notification of Result if your result is ready. You can then proceed with the printing of the result.

- The JAMB result slip costs N1,000 (one thousand naira only), and it comes with passport photography affixed to it. - How long will it take before I check my JAMB result after the exam?
- According to JAMB, candidates that participated in the 2022 UTME will be able to check their results a few hours after their exam. Candidates are advised to follow the procedure outlined above to check their results.
- Will I need a scratch card to check my UTME result?
- No scratch card is needed to check the 2022 JAMB result. Checking of JAMB NOTIFICATION of result is FREE!
- How many times can I check my 2022 JAMB Result?
- You can check your JAMB notification of results as many times as possible.
- Can I check my JAMB result 2022 on phone?
- Yes. You can also follow the procedure outlined above using your phone browser or SMS.

@Victor, you will need to purchase an E-facility card to access your result since you have exceeded the numbers of free checking. However, as at now, the e-facility portal link to check 2015 UTME result is not yet live.

Well I. Did mine on the 30th and up to this very hour in as much as am craving to get an sms from jamb all I get is etisalat trying to tell me my balance is getting low! Guess jamb is short of artym for nw but with time they gonna recharge and send our result #lol# mr.
