He also congratulated the graduating students for the achievement while promising that the Institute will continue to do all in its power to ensure that students come out successful in the programme. According to him, the platform has helped create good relations between the Chinese and Nigerian government.

In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joseph Ahaneku, FAS expressed appreciation to the Chinese Government for the scholarship award which, according to him, is not a new development, as some of the University’s students are already in China and he had travelled several times to monitor them. Prof. Ahaneku also congratulated the graduating students for successfully completing the Chinese Proficiency Programme while advising the scholarship beneficiaries to promote the good image of the University and Nigeria in China, to distinguish themselves and shun all vices that can mar the image of the University and Nigeria.
