COEASU Conference in Federal College of Education (Tech) Asaba

All is now set for the 3rd COEASU SOUTH SOUTH ZONAL CONFERENCE at the Federal College of Education Technical, Asaba. This year’s conference is scheduled for 15th – 18th April, 2014.

This was contained in a press statement issued by the Chairman, Local Organising Committee of the conference Mr N. Idika made exclusively to public.

According to the statement, this third edition of the COEASU South South Zonal conference is being organised with theme: Education for Social Reconstruction and Transformation.

The conference is also expected to feature top academics and professionals in the teaching field.

The three days conference will take place at the permanent site of Federal College of Education Technical, Asaba and special guests expected to grace the event include; DR Festus C. Akpotohowo from Niger Delta University in Bayelsa State will be the Lead paper Presenter, Delta State Commissioner for Higher Education, Professor Hope Eghagha is expected to be the Chairman of the occasion, Royal Father of the day is his Royal Majesty obi Prof Chike Edozien, the Asagba of Asaba and the Keynote address will be done by DR N.I Ezoem, the Provost, Federal College of Education Technical Asaba.

Participants from across the country and other African countries are also expected at the event.

Commenting on the importance of this national conference, the COEASU chairman and also a lecturer with the Federal College of Education Technical, Asaba, Comrade Uzoamaka IKENGA noted that the conference is coming at a more opportune time for teachers, Educational Administrators, the Government and NGO’s in the state and country to acquire relevant knowledge and skills required for change, with focus on Education as a tool for Social Reconstruction and Transformation.

It will be a wonderful conference and “I can assure you that our Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee and his team, have put all the necessary structures in place to host our guests from Nigeria and abroad and make sure that we have a successful conference”, an excited Comrade Uzoamaka IKENGA enthused.
