Federal Polytechnic Nekede Virtual Classroom

SUBJECT: e-LEARNING VIRTUAL CLASSROOM PLATFORM

All Academic Staff of this institution are hereby directed by the management to make use of the e-learning virtual classroom platform as a medium for intellectual environment to lecture their students and receive academic feed back from them. Through this medium students are expected to receive and submit their assignments.

Only students who have paid and will pay their school fees would have access to the password with which to interface with their lecturers in the e- learning virtual class room. Head of departments should therefore encourage their students to go and pay their school fees in order to participate in the online classes.

A step by step customized manual has been created to guide both staff and students in this academic exercise.

Staff and students are encouraged to ask questions where they encounter any problem.

All HODs should urgently develop their e-learning timetable to upload both on the website and on the different groups.

Deans and head of departments are also directed to monitor and ensure that lecturers make use of this platform effectively and regularly to educate their students.

Management on it’s part would strictly monitor how all the academic staff would comply with this directive. Any lecturer who fails to comply/ participate in the exercise would be sanctioned.

Note that this is Management’s vision to keep staff and students active during the stay-at-home as directed by the federal government in order to reduce/ eliminate the spread of coronavirus pandemic.

The exercise is also geared towards achieving Rector’s vision of digitalizing the entire polytechnic community and obtaining the optimum academic participation and performance for both staff and students.

You are please, advised to stay focused and safe while carrying out your academic activities at home.
