Diamond Bank 100 Words Essay Competition, Win Mouth-Watering Prizes:
2014 marks Nigeria’s Centenary Celebration (100 years), when the North and South where amalgamated. Whether you are from the North, South, East or West – there is something about being a true Nigerian – is it the language, music, culture or food.
In celebration of Nigeria’s Centenary anniversary, Diamond Bank Plc is hosting a writing competition. We want to know “What Makes You a True Nigerian?”
The competition will take place between Wednesday, 22nd January to Friday, 7th February, 2014.
How To Participate in Diamond Bank Centenary Challenge
- Write short article in not more than 100 words on what makes you a true Nigerian
- Send your entries with your name and phone number to diamondgames@diamondbank.com
- Closing date for entries; 7 February 2014 at 11:59 pm
- All entries will be reviewed by Diamond Bank’s esteemed panel of judges and the five (5) best articles will be selected for the final round.

I am a nigerian and i was born in one of the states in nigeria where ibo is my native tongue. Firstly, in my town i participated in the culture, the dance and music which i put on wrapper around my chest to dance my native dance. Furthermore, in my town we usually have some festival which include the new yam festival where i help my mother harvest the yams in the farm and come back to make a delicious meal out of it. Lastly, i have a special love for my country and will always protect her interest.
I grew among the 36 states in Nigeria. My Educational career beggins still within the state. I also speak one of the tribes in Nigeria. I partiscipate on one of cultures in Nigeria. I learn about the custom and the rule of law in Nigeria. Having knw this i have a full freedom to contribute and appeal in any community in Nigeria. Nevertheless i have been issue the country indigen form which proved that iam a true Nigeria. I also possess the (colour) which the refers us as the black country. Most importantly i know about the history of Nigeria.
