It’s that exciting time of the year again when the Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology (FCFMT), Lagos, opens its gates to aspirants, inviting applications for its distinguished National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) part-time programmes for the 2023/2024 academic year.

In a bid to broaden its academic offerings, FCFMT is thrilled to announce the admission for the following cutting-edge programmes, making their debut in the 2023/2024 academic year:

  1. ND Marine Engineering
  2. ND Maritime Transport and Business Management
  3. ND Computer Science
  4. ND Mechanical Engineering
  5. HND Marine Engineering

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants need to meet the following pre-requisites to be considered for the part-time programmes:

  • Possession of relevant O level subjects.
  • For HND aspirants, a relevant ND qualification is paramount.

Your Gateway to FCFMT: The Application Procedure

Securing your place at FCFMT is a structured process, ensuring every aspirant has an equal chance. Here’s a comprehensive breakdown:

1. Acquiring the Application Form

The application forms are readily available at the college premises. Do note, there’s a non-refundable fee of N10,000 associated with the form.

2. Digital Payment Pathway

A step-by-step guide for online payment is as follows:

  • Initiate your journey by visiting www.applications.fcfmt.edu.ng. Choose your desired application type.
  • Key in essential personal details including:
    • Surname
    • Middle Name
    • First Name
    • Telephone
    • Email Address

    Important: Ensure your telephone and email are both functional and belong to you.

  • Post this, click on ‘PROCEED’.
  • You’ll then be greeted with a transaction reference number and your details. Choose your preferred payment method.
  • Opt for the Remita “Pay Now” option to finalise the payment.A confirmation page will be showcased post successful transaction. If you’ve chosen a bank payment, a revisit to the portal post 24 hours is needed to continue with your application.

3. The Online Registration Process

  • STEP I: Upon successful payment, revert to applications.fcfmt.edu.ng and select the ‘CONTINUE APPLICATION’ option.
  • STEP II: ND Part-Time aspirants should harness their application number as the username and the surname (all in lowercase) as the password. This will grant you access to FCFMT’s application platform to wrap up the application.
  • STEP III: Fill in mandatory fields with utmost accuracy. This includes personal information and O’Level details. A passport photograph (max 20KB in jpg format) will also need to be uploaded.

It’s also noteworthy for all prospects to visit the JAMB e-Facility portal at https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/ to choose FCFMT as their desired institution and proceed with registration.
