FEDPONAS Post UTME Form

The Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa (FEDPONAS) has released the Post-UTME eligibility, cut-off mark, and registration details for the 2023/2024 academic session. The polytechnic invites suitably qualified candidates for admission into the full-time National Diploma (ND) programmes for the upcoming academic session.

Eligibility for Post-UTME

Candidates who selected the Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa, in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored the approved minimum cut-off points in the relevant subject combinations are eligible to apply for the post-UTME screening exercise.

FEDPONAS offers a wide range of courses across different faculties. The schools and their respective departments are as follows:

School of Engineering Technology

  • Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology with options in Power and Machines and Electronics and Telecommunication
  • Mechanical Engineering Technology with an option in Manufacturing
  • Agricultural Engineering Technology with options in Farm Power and Post Harvest

School of Applied Sciences

  • Statistics
  • Science Laboratory Technology with options in Applied Chemistry, Physics Electronics, Biochemistry, and Microbiology

School of Information and Technology

  • Computer Science
  • Office Technology and Management

School of Environmental Studies

  • Architectural Technology
  • Building Technology
  • Quantity Surveying
  • Urban and Regional Planning
  • Estate Management

School of Business Studies

  • Accountancy
  • Business Administration and Management

Entry Requirements

Applicants for the National Diploma programme by direct entry must have one of the following qualifications:

i. Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent (GCE O’Level, Teachers’ Grade II, WASC, NECO, NTC, and NBC) with credit passes in five subjects, including Mathematics, English, and three other subjects relevant to the programme, at not more than two sittings. Candidates must also obtain a prescribed minimum score in the compulsory UTME of JAMB.

ii. Five credit passes in relevant subjects obtained at the final examination of a National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) recognized preliminary programme offered in the Polytechnic or similar Post Secondary Technical Institutions.

Method of Application

The application fee for the Post-UTME screening in respect of ND programmes is Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00) only, excluding bank charges. For a detailed application procedure, visit the Polytechnic website.
