Fire Guts WAEC Zonal Office in Kaduna

A section of the Kaduna Zonal Office of the West African Examination Council, WAEC, was on Tuesday gutted by fire.
The Zonal Deputy Registrar of the council, Mr. Fidelis Gaya, has confirmed that computers, vital documents and 10 offices of the control department were destroyed by the incident which occurred around 9:00 am.
He told journalists that he was at the office when the incident occurred, and that no casualty was recorded.
He said the cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained.
The council however said the incident will not affect the ongoing examination because the question papers were not affected.
