FUD Academic Calendar for 2nd Semester 2024/2025

Federal University Dutse has released the full schedule for the second semester of the 2024/2025 academic session. The calendar includes all major activities, from lecture dates to exam timelines.

Students, especially undergraduates, are expected to follow these dates closely.

Second Semester Schedule Breakdown

Lectures Begin

Start: Monday, 23 June 2025

End: Saturday, 30 August 2025

That’s 10 full weeks of classes.

Mid-Semester Break

Start: Monday, 1 September 2025

End: Sunday, 7 September 2025

Just one week to breathe.

Classes Resume

Start: Monday, 8 September 2025

End: Saturday, 27 September 2025

Three more weeks of lectures to wrap up the semester.

Examinations

Start: Monday, 29 September 2025

End: Saturday, 18 October 2025

Students get three weeks to complete all exams.

What Happens After Exams?

Once exams end, things move quickly behind the scenes:

• Marking period: 20 October to 1 November 2025
• Departmental Board meeting: 3 to 7 November 2025
• Faculty Board meeting: 10 to 14 November 2025
• Senate Business Committee meeting: 17 to 21 November 2025
• Final Senate meeting: Thursday, 27 November 2025

New Session Starts

Date: Monday, 1 December 2025

That marks the beginning of the next academic session.
