Admission Requirements

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)

To apply for a PGD, you must meet these requirements:

• Fulfil the general matriculation requirements of FUGUS, including a credit pass in Mathematics and English Language.
• Hold a first degree with at least third-class honours from FUGUS or another recognised institution.
• Alternatively, possess a Higher National Diploma (HND) with a pass or higher in a relevant field from an accredited institution.
• The study duration is 12 – 18 months for full-time and 18 – 24 months for part-time.

Master’s Programmes

To apply for a master’s degree, you need to:

• Meet the university’s matriculation requirements, including a credit pass in Mathematics and English Language.
• Hold a first degree with at least second-class honours from FUGUS or another recognised institution.
• For some academic master’s programmes, a third-class degree or HND holders with a FUGUS PGD and a CGPA of 3.0/5.00 might be considered.
• The study duration is 18 – 24 months for full-time and 24 – 36 months for part-time.

PhD Programmes

For PhD admission, the criteria include:

• A master’s degree with a CGPA of at least 3.5 on a 5-point scale from FUGUS or a recognised institution.
• The study duration is 24 – 48 months for full-time and 48 – 60 months for part-time.

Application Process

To apply, follow these steps:

1. Visit the FUGUS Postgraduate School Portal.
2. Generate an invoice for the application fee of fifteen thousand naira (₦15,000).
3. Make payment using any bank or the online payment option.
4. Use the RRR on the invoice as both your username and password.
5. Fill and submit the application form after payment is verified.
6. Monitor your account for updates on admission status.
