FULAFIA Postgraduate Admission Form: Everything You Need to Know

The Federal University of Lafia (FULAFIA) Postgraduate Admission Form for the 2023/2024 academic session is now available.

FULAFIA invites applications for its Postgraduate Diploma (PGD), Master’s (M.A/M.Sc), and Doctorate (M.Phil/Ph.D) programmes.

These programmes are offered in both online and regular onsite modes.

FULAFIA Postgraduate Admission Requirements

Eligibility for Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)

• University Matriculation Requirements: Candidates must meet FULAFIA’s matriculation criteria.
• Honours Degree: Graduates from FULAFIA or other accredited universities with at least an Honours degree are eligible.
• HND Requirements: A minimum of an upper credit pass in relevant disciplines for HND holders.
• HND with Experience: HND holders with lower credit and at least five years of relevant post-qualification experience may also apply.
• Specialised HND Qualifications: Candidates with an HND in Horticulture, Nursery Management, or related disciplines from recognised institutions qualify.
• Alternative Qualifications: Other qualifications, with or without experience, may be considered if acceptable to FULAFIA’s Board and Senate.

Criteria for Admission into M.Sc./M.A. Programmes

• Academic Requirements: Five credit passes in relevant subjects are essential.
• Bachelor’s Degree Standards: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree (BSc/BA) from recognised universities with at least a Second Class Lower Division and a CGPA of 3.0. For History and International Studies, a CGPA of 2.50 or a 50% score average may be accepted.

Requirements for M.Phil/PhD Programmes

• Master’s Degree: Candidates must possess a commendable Master’s degree in the relevant field from a recognised university, with a CGPA not lower than 3.5 on a five-point scale or a 55 per cent score average.
• Professional Degrees: Those with relevant experience in the applied discipline may also be considered.

Cost of Application

• The application form costs N25,000.00, non-refundable.

• Candidates should log in to start the application process and follow the instructions carefully.

Application Deadline

• The deadline for submission is 8th November 2024.

Qualifying Examination

• All candidates must pass a qualifying examination.

Exam Details

• Date: Saturday, 9th November 2024.
• Time: 9:00 am.
• Venue: Online programmes will be virtual; onsite programmes will take place at respective departments in FULAFIA.
