Preparations are in top gear as the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), is set to hold its 28th and 29th Convocation Ceremonies for the 2018/2019 and 2019/2022 academic sessions.

The Convocation ceremonies which will be the third to be presided over by Professor Kolawole Salako in his capacity as the sixth substantive Vice-Chancellor of the University begins with a Jumat Service on Friday, March 11, 2022, at the University Mosque by 1:00 pm, while an Interdenominational Church Service at the Chapel of Grace follows on Sunday, March 13, 2022, by 9:30 am.
On Tuesday, March 15, 2022, there will be the Commissioning of Projects at 10.00 am at various project sites, Convocation Press Conference immediately after the naming of projects at the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) Centre for Linking Accounting with Business of Developing Economics (LABODE) building.
The intellectual discourse will take the centre stage on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 with the Convocation Lecture beginning at 10.00 am, to be followed by the Conferment of First Degrees by 11.00 am at the Oluwafemi Balogun Ceremonial Building Auditorium while on Thursday, March 17, 2022, Conferment of Postgraduate Degrees holds at 10.00 am at the same venue.
The Convocation Ceremonies which is unique in the sense that it is coming at a time when the Vice-Chancellor, whose tenure is characterised with the introduction of Emeritus Professorship, the establishment of a dam and naming of monuments after deserving individuals within and outside the University is gradually coming to an end.
