Other components of the MoU is conducting Joint Research and organizing symposia that will allow FUOYE students access to the required facilities at FUTA for academic, training and research purposes, under the direction/instruction and supervision of FUTA.

Addressing the Management of FUTA the Vice-Chancellor of FUOYE, Professor Kayode Soremekun represented by Professor Babatope Alabadan Dean, Faculty of Engineering, expressed delight in the actualization of the MoU saying FUTA is the best Institution to partner with in the area of engineering. He also thanked the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Joseph Fuwape for his apt response at all times when called upon on matters relating to academic advancement of the relatively new Institution.

Responding, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Fuwape said FUTA still remains the best University of Technology in the country and is more than willing to partner with a young but dynamic Institution such as FUOYE. The Vice-Chancellor commended the Management of FUOYE on the Institution’s growth in a short time of establishment with most of its programmes accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC), which is not an easy feat to accomplish.

Fuwape commended the Management of FUOYE for seeking assistance from viable sister Institutions around it and urged it to sustain its growth.

“It is the right thing to do in the growth process. This will give direction on how to do things. FUTA had similar experience many years ago at its inception. I encourage you to seek partnership with relevant and viable Institutions. In no time you will become mentors to others too. Our laboratories and other facilities (human and materials) are available to you and we see you as a partner in progress” Fuwape added.
