FUTO Approves Stay at Home Directive for Staff on CONTISS 11 & Below
Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) has approved the stay-at-home directive for all non-essential staff on CONTISS 11 (eleven) and below for a period of 5-weeks.

The Vice-Chancellor has received the circular from the Head of Service of the Federation dated December 22, 2020, and forwarded by the Executive Secretary National Universities Commission on December 23, 2020, directing officers on Gl 12 and below to stay at home for 5 weeks with effect from Wednesday, December 23, 2020.
Consequently, the Vice-Chancellor has directed that all non-essential staff on CONTISS 11 (eleven) and below are to work from home for the 5 weeks effective from Wednesday, December 23, 2020.
However, all Security men and other staff on essential services including staff in the following Units: Health Services Estates & Works OUD, University Farm and Staff working with Principal Officers are exempted from this stay at home order
All staff on CONTISS 12 (GL 14) above and those on essential duties who are to continue to report for duty must comply with COVID-19 guidelines of washing of hards, wearing face masks and maintaining a physical distance.
