IAUE Postgraduate Admission Form

The Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE) has opened the admission process for its postgraduate programmes for the 2024/2025 academic session.

This is an opportunity for you to advance your academic career with a range of programmes available in full-time, part-time, and long vacation options.

IAUE Postgraduate Programmes Overview

IAUE offers a variety of postgraduate programmes, including:

1. Postgraduate Diplomas (PGD, PDDE, PGDE)
2. Master’s Degrees (MA, MEd, MSc)
3. Doctorate Degrees (PhD)

Even candidates awaiting their NYSC discharge certificates can apply, reflecting the university’s inclusive approach.

Eligibility Criteria

For Postgraduate Diploma (PGD, PGDL, PGDE):

• A First degree from any recognised university with a Pass or Third Class Degree.
• A Higher National Diploma in a related field.

For Master’s Degree Programmes (MA, MA Ed, MEd, MLS, MSc. Ed):

• A First degree from any recognised university with at least a Second Class Degree in a related field.
• A Postgraduate Diploma in a corresponding area of study.

For Master of Philosophy (MPhil/PhD):

• MBA or MPA qualifications.
• A Master’s degree in a related field with a CGPA below 3.5 on a 5.0 scale.

For Doctorate Degree (PhD):

• A Master’s degree in a closely related field with a CGPA of 3.5 or higher on a 5.0 scale.

Duration of the Programmes

• PGD & PGDE Programmes: 12 calendar months.
• PDDE Programme: 4 calendar months (an accelerated programme).
• MA, MEd & MSc Programmes: 12 calendar months.
• PhD Programme: 24 calendar months, 6 semesters, or 3 long vacations.

Application Procedure

You can begin the application process through the university’s official online portal. The application fees are:

• PhD: ₦40,600.00
• Masters: ₦35,600.00
• PGD: ₦25,600.00
• Brochure Fee: ₦7,600.00

Steps to Apply:

1. Visit the University website.
2. Click on “Postgraduate School” under the Admissions Menu.
3. On the Postgraduate School page, click on “Registration” on the left side.
4. Enter your full name, phone number, email address, department of interest, and click “Register.”
5. You will receive an email with your login details. These details will also be displayed on the page.
6. Sign in using the provided details.
7. Select the 2024/2025 session.
8. From the menu on the left, click on “Fees.”
9. Pay the registration fee by generating an invoice and completing the payment online.
10. Pay the brochure fee similarly and access the brochure from the documents menu.
11. Complete all fields on your registration form, upload your passport photo, and submit your credentials.
