MySchoolGist JAMB CBT App for UTME practice on Android and iOS (offline past questions and syllabus)

The JAMB CBT App from MySchoolGist is a practice tool for UTME candidates that runs on phones and tablets. It supports study during short breaks, rather than using every break for scrolling. MySchoolGist first built the tool for desktop users, then rebuilt it for mobile devices so candidates can practise across more settings.

Study can happen on a bed, on a danfo seat, or on a bench at a shop. The device stays the same.

Why MySchoolGist Built a Mobile Version

Many candidates lack easy access to a computer. A phone is easier to carry and often becomes the device used across the day. MySchoolGist moved the practice tool from desktop to phones and tablets for that reason. The core idea stayed consistent: frequent practice with past questions and topics based on the UTME syllabus.

Mobile use fits normal routines:

Some days feel light. Some days feel packed. The pattern can still hold.

What the JAMB CBT App Includes

30,000+ Past JAMB Questions With Explanations

The app includes over 30,000 past JAMB questions across subjects. Each question includes an explanation, so the candidate can learn the reason behind an answer, not only the option letter.

A case from Government shows the pattern. A wrong option can link back to the rule or idea the question tests. That same idea can return across years.

UTME Syllabus Available Inside the App

The full UTME syllabus is available inside the app, which supports topic checks during study. This can help a learner track topics already covered and topics left within each subject. It can also guide the next practice set, rather than guessing.

MySchoolGist also shares the syllabus online. See the UTME syllabus for all subjects.

Offline Use After Setup

After setup, the app can run without a network connection. This supports candidates with poor signal at home and candidates who spend time on the road. Practice can continue on a bus, during a break, or during any period with no service.

Offline access also removes pauses linked to slow internet service. Practice continues.

UTME-Style Layout and Controls

UTME uses computer-based testing. The app layout matches the exam style to support familiarity on test day. It includes the 8-key system used during UTME:

First-time candidates sometimes face screen confusion during the exam. Practice can reduce time spent on controls and increase time spent on questions.

Literature Set Texts, Including The Lekki Headmaster

The app includes Literature-in-English set text support. The Lekki Headmaster is covered chapter by chapter, with questions for practice. See The Lekki Headmaster questions and answers. Other set texts also receive summaries and explanations.

Practice Options for Different Study Patterns

The app supports more than one approach:

At the end of a full session, the app provides a score out of 400, aligned with UTME scoring.

One candidate may repeat Algebra sets. Another candidate may prefer full sessions across subjects. The structure supports both.

Session Results With Strengths and Weak Areas

After each session, the app provides results that show areas done well and areas that need more work. It also provides key points from each subject for revision.

Results can guide the next steps:

The results page gives direction. Then practice follows.

JAMB-Style Calculator

The app includes a JAMB-style calculator, which supports practice for Maths, Physics, and other subjects that need calculations. Frequent use can make the calculator layout familiar during the exam.

Study Methods That Fit the App

A plan can keep sessions consistent. A candidate can set a daily slot, even when the slot stays short. Ten to twenty minutes can support one session. Consistency matters more than long sessions.

Common patterns include:

The checkpoint helps spot weak areas early, then practice can target those areas. Some days deliver lower scores. The pattern still holds.

Using the Syllabus to Guide Revision

The syllabus shows the topics that can appear during UTME. A learner can use it as a topic list per subject, then practise by topic.

A cycle can look like this:

The syllabus works as a map. The results page works as feedback.

Offline Practice for Busy Days

Some days involve travel. Some days involve low network service. Offline access supports both cases.

Offline use supports:

The day sets the limits. Practice can still happen.

Fair Preparation and Boundaries

MySchoolGist is not JAMB. The app content draws from past questions and the UTME syllabus. The app does not offer leaked papers. It supports preparation based on fair study.

Candidates looking for expo will not find it within this tool. Candidates focused on honest preparation can use the app for frequent practice.

Getting Started

The app is a downloadable product, so practice can start soon after installation and setup. After setup, the candidate can practise at home or during movement, with or without network service, based on the day.
