Kwara State University (KWASU) Admission List

The Kwara State University (KWASU) convocation ceremony for the award of first and postgraduate degrees and the presentation of prizes is scheduled for Saturday, 14th December 2024.

This marks the 12th convocation ceremony and includes a variety of events leading up to the main day.

Details of Convocation Activities

Day 1: Tuesday, 10th December 2024

Day 2: Thursday, 12th December 2024

Day 3: Saturday, 14th December 2024

All guests are expected to be seated by 9:00 a.m.

Brief for Graduands

All prospective graduands for the 2023/2024 session must check their names on the KWASU website.

Each graduand is permitted to invite one guest.

Invitation cards and academic gowns will be issued starting Thursday, 12th December 2024, after the convocation lecture.

Convocation Charges

Certificate scrolls will be available after the convocation ceremony upon presenting proof of payment and a clearance certificate.

Additional Requirements for Graduands

Graduands must attend a rehearsal for the academic procession on Friday, 13th December 2024, at 2:30 p.m.

Attendance in the academic procession is compulsory, and graduands must wear the approved academic gown.

Formal dressing is required, which includes full English wear or national attire.

Graduands must arrive on campus by 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, 14th December 2024, for the procession, which begins at 8:00 a.m.

Late arrivals will not be permitted into the convocation arena.

Gown Return and Penalties

Hired gowns must be returned to Faculty Officers by Friday, 20th December 2024.

A fine of ₦500 per day will apply for gowns returned after this date.
