Lagos Reschedules Screening Test into Model Colleges, Junior Schools
The Lagos State Examinations Board has rescheduled the screening test/entrance examination into the model colleges and upgraded Junior secondary schools in Lagos. The Screening Test is the only yardstick for admission into JSS1 in any of the Model Colleges. Only registered Primary Six pupils are eligible for the test, and candidates that excel and meet the required cut-off marks would be offered admission into any of the Model Colleges and Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools, irrespective of their first or second choice of schools.
The Lagos State Examinations Board has notified the general public, particularly parents and guardians of all candidates duly registered for the Year 2022 Screening Test into Lagos State Model Colleges and Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools, that the exam has been rescheduled to take place from Tuesday, July 19th to Friday, July 22nd, 2022.
According to a statement signed by Mr. Abayomi Abolaji, Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry of Education, the postponement of the examination dates became necessary to give prospective candidates more time to register.
Abolaji urged prospective candidates to register immediately and print their registration slips, while urging those who had previously registered to return to the Board’s Portal: examsboard.lagosstate.gov.ng and register again with the Serial Number and Personalised Identification Number (PIN) issued during their initial registration, as well as print out the Examination Slips containing personal information for the exams.
While requesting the cooperation of all stakeholders on the postponement, the Permanent Secretary encouraged citizens to contact the Board’s Head Office in Agege at 08166599458, 08036981216, 08035190744, and 08028810507.
