Both private and public schools in Lagos State will now resume on October 8 Contrary to Federal Government September 22 resumption date.
The Lagos State Government yesterday shifted the resumption date for public and private schools in the state to October 8 contrary to September 22, which the federal government initially approved.
Governor Babatunde Fashola approved the new resumption date at a stakeholders’ forum held Sunday, at Lagos Television Blue Roof, Agindigbi, Ikeja. The forum was attended by headteachers and principals of schools in the state.
Fashola said the shift in date was to allow for adequate distribution of Ebola preventive materials in schools across the state.
