Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH) in preparedness for staff and students resumption has installed three Disinfectant Tunnels and four Foot Pedal Hand washing machines in strategic locations within the Polytechnic Campus.
Lagos State Polytechnic in its bid to flatten the curve of the COVID-19 pandemic in the state and Nigeria in general has installed three Disinfectant Tunnels and four Foot Pedal Hand washing machines in strategic locations within the Polytechnic Campus at Ikorodu.
Notably, each of the Disinfectant Tunnels and Foot Pedal Hand Washing Machines was placed at two main entrances to the Polytechnic and the Library Complex. A Foot Pedal hand washing machine has also been installed at the School of Agriculture Auditorium. The installations will soon be extended to the Isolo and Surulere campuses of the Polytechnic in preparedness for staff and students resumption.
Alumni Association Donates One Thousand Nose Masks to the Polytechnic
The Lagos State Polytechnic Alumni Association donated 1,000 nose masks to the Polytechnic on Tuesday, 14th July. 2020. The donation was presented by the President of the Alumni Association, Dr Yinka Adewusi to the Acting Rector of the Polytechnic, Mr. Olusola Olumide Metilelu in his office. Dr Adewusi, during the presentation, noted that the donation was meant to support the Polytechnic in its efforts at preventing the spread of the COVID-19. Mr Metilelu during his speech appreciated the Alumni Association for the wonderful initiative, noting that this will go a long way to prevent the spread of the virus in the Polytechnic.
2020 TETFund National Research Grants For Tertiary Institutions (R)
The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) has opened its portal for the submission of Concept Notes to commence the process for the grant of the 2020 National Research Fund (NRF) Grants from Monday 22nd June, to Tuesday 21st July. Eligibility: Lecturers from government and private tertiary institutions are eligible for the grant. However, research teams would be led by Private Investigators who are of the professorial cadre in the university system or a Chief Lecturer in the Polytechnic or College of Education
system. Thematic Areas are; Humanities and Social Sciences; Technology and Innovation; and Cross-cutting.
