Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) has rolled out the State of Origin Verification Exercise (SOVE) for the 2023/2024 session. This is exclusively for Lagos State indigenes who selected the university as their first choice in the 2023 UTME and scored a minimum of 180. Registration begins on 18th July and ends on 31st July 2023. The interviews are slated for early August. The SOVE doesn't assure admission, and payments should only be made through the official link provided.
The Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) has announced the commencement of the 2023/2024 State of Origin Verification Exercise (SOVE) for admission-seeking candidates who are indigenes of Lagos State and chose LASUSTECH as their first-choice institution in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME).

Eligibility for the Verification Exercise
Only candidates who scored a minimum of 180 in the 2023 UTME and are of Lagos State origin are eligible for the SOVE. This also extends to all Direct Entry candidates. Note that the verification exercise does not guarantee or serve as proof of admission into LASUSTECH.
Verification Exercise Timeline
The registration for the SOVE will begin on Tuesday, 18th July 2023 and close on Monday, 31st July 2023. Following the registration, the Verification Interview will be conducted on two separate occasions:
- From Tuesday, 15th August to Thursday, 17th August 2023
- From Tuesday, 22nd August to Thursday, 24th August 2023
The specific date for each candidate’s interview will be provided on their application form.

Important Notice for Applicants
Candidates are reminded that only those who are of Lagos State origin are eligible for the verification exercise. They are expected to be cleared by the State of Origin Verification Committee (SOVC) before they can proceed to process their Post UTME screening forms. It is pertinent to note that any applicant who makes a payment to any other individual or account, or via any other means aside from the specified link, does so at their own risk.
