Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Part-Time Degree Admission Form for 2021/2022 Academic Session

Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Directorate of Part-Time Programme, is now selling application forms for admission into its various Part-Time Degree Programmes for the 2021/2022 academic session. Applications are hereby invited from qualified candidates into the Bachelor of Science Degree Programmes in the Directorate of Part-Time Programme of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, for the 2021/2022 Academic Session.

LAUTECH Part-Time Degree Courses & Requirements

A. FIVE (5) YEAR DURATION (100 Level Entry Point)

  1. B.Sc. Accounting
  2. B.Sc. Business Management
  3. B.Sc. Marketing
  4. B.Sc. Economics
  5. B.Sc. Transport Management
  6. B.Sc. Computer Science
  7. B.Sc. Science Laboratory Technology
  8. B.Sc. Pure and Applied Biology (Environmental Health and Biosafety)
  9. B.Sc. PAC (Environmental Chemistry & Industrial Safety)
  10. B.Sc. Agricultural Economics
  11. B.Sc. Agricultural Extension and Rural Development
  12. B.Sc. Animal Nutrition and Biotechnology
  13. B.Sc. Animal Production and Health
  14. B.Sc. Crop Production and Soil Science
  15. B.Sc. Crop and Environmental Protection

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR A (i) – (v)

  1. Applicants must possess at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB at not more than two sittings and the subjects must include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and two other relevant subjects.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR A (vi) – (xv)

  1. Applicants must possess at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB at not more than two sittings and the subjects must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agric Science/Technical Drawing and any other Social Science subject.

B. FOUR (4) YEAR DURATION (200 Level Entry Point)

  1. B.Sc. Accounting
  2. B.Sc. Business Management
  3. B.Sc. Marketing
  4. B.Sc. Transport Management
  5. B.Sc. Computer Science
  6. B.Sc. Science Laboratory Technology
  7. B.Sc. Pure and Applied Biology (with specialisation in Environmental Health and Biosafety)
  8. B.Sc. Urban and Regional Planning

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR B (i) – (iv)

While requirements stated in A (i) – (iv) are applicable, candidates opting for B (i) – (iii) must possess any of the following:

  1. Good passes in at least two relevant A’ Level subjects.
  2. National Diploma (or its equivalent) from any recognized Polytechnic, or LAUTECH Sub- Professional Diploma with minimum of Upper Credit in relevant courses such as Accountancy, Banking and Finance, Business Management or Business Administration, Marketing, Purchasing and Supply.
  3. Higher National Diploma (or its equivalent) from a recognized Polytechnic or LAUTECH Full Professional Diploma with minimum of Lower Credit in relevant courses as listed in (ii) above.
  4. National Diploma with Upper Credit Grade or its equivalent in Environmental Management,
  5. Engineering, Transport & Management Sciences
  6. Specific O’ Level requirements for B (iv) are stated under A (v) – (vii)

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR B (v) – (viii)

Applicants must possess at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB at not more than two sittings. Other O’ Level requirements are as stated in A (v-vii). In addition to the O’ Level qualification(s), candidates must have any of the following depending on the programme applied for:

  1. Good passes at Advance Level of GCE (WAEC) (or equivalent) in Pure Mathematics or Applied Mathematics or the Combined Pure and Applied Mathematics and Physics; and any other subjects from the following: Chemistry, Biology, Economics and Geography;
  2. National Diploma with Upper Credit in Computer Science or Computer Engineering/Technology and University Diploma of LAUTECH and any other relevant discipline from a recognised Polytechnic;
  3. Passes in Intermediate Level of Computer Professionals (Registration) Council of Nigeria or any other recognised Professional Bodies;
  4. Third Class Degree in a Science-based discipline may also be considered for admission.
  5. National Diploma with Lower Credit in Science Laboratory Technology and other related science based courses (Upper Credit); NCE in Physic/Biology/Chemistry/Integrated Science/Health Education (Not lower than Credit) is acceptable
  6. Ordinary National Diploma in Environmental Health Biosafety and other related Science based courses, Upper Credit or NCE Biology/Chemistry, Integrated Science, Health Education, Physics and other related based courses (not lower than Credit) or Ordinary National Diploma for Public Health Superintendents (Awarded by WAEHEB).
  7. For URP candidates with any of these can apply (i) OND with upper credit in Urban and Regional Planning or other disciplines. (ii) HND with at least lower credit in other disciplines.(iii) B.SC/B.ED, B.TECH, or B.A with at least second class lower in related disciplines.

C. THREE YEAR DURATION: TOP-UP/CONVERSION PROGRAMMES (300 Level Entry Point)

  1. B.Sc. Accounting
  2. B.Sc. Business Management
  3. B.Sc. Transport Management
  4. B.Sc. Marketing
  5. B.Sc Architecture
  6. B.Sc. Computer Science
  7. B.Sc. Science Laboratory Technology
  8. B.Sc. Pure and Applied Biology (Environmental Health and Biosafety)
  9. B.Sc. Urban and Regional Planning

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR C (i) – (iv)

Apart from basic requirements stated under A (i) – (iv), applicants must possess any of:

Accounting, Marketing & Business Management

  1. HND or its equivalent from a recognized Polytechnic or LAUTECH Full Professional Diploma in relevant disciplines (as listed in b (ii) above) with minimum of Upper Credit.
  2. HND or its equivalent from a recognized Polytechnic or LAUTECH Full Professional Diploma in relevant disciplines with minimum of Lower Credit plus relevant professional qualifications such as ACA, CIBN, ANAN, CII, CITN, CIMARK, CIPM,NIM, ICSAN
  3. Holders of HND or its equivalent from a recognized Polytechnic or LAUTECH Full Professional Diploma in relevant disciplines with minimum of Lower Credit plus Master in Business Administration (MBA) may also apply.

Transport Management

  1. Higher National Diploma with Upper Credit grade / or its equivalent in Environmental Management, Engineering, Transport & Management Sciences
  2. Candidates with HND with Upper Credit Grade in Science related courses from recognized institutions may be admitted

Architecture

  1. A candidate who fulfills ordinary level requirements and in addition holds HND certificate at credit level in Architectural Technology may be considered for admission to 300 Level.

Computer Science

  1. Higher National Diploma (HND) from recognized Polytechnics with a minimum of Lower Credit in Computer Science or Computer Engineering /Technology or any other relevant courses may also be considered.
  2. Passes in final level (equivalent of FULL Membership) of Computer Professionals (Registration) Council of Nigeria or any other recognized professional bodies.
  3. Candidates in every category above must have obtained five credit passes at not more than two sittings in WAEC and/or NECO as prescribed above.

Science Laboratory Technology

  1. Higher National Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology, Fisheries Technology, Animal Science, Health Technology and other science-based courses with at least Lower Credit. Professional registration will be an added advantage.
  2. Pure and Applied Biology (Environmental Health and Biosafety)
  3. Higher National Diploma in Environmental Health, Fisheries Technology, Animal Science, Health Technology and other science-based courses with at least Lower Credit.

Royal Society Diploma for Public Health Inspectors Diploma

  1. Higher National Diploma for Public Health Superintendents (Awarded by WAHEB)
  2. Urban and Regional Planning
  3. HND with at least lower credit in Urban and Regional Planning
  4. FTP in Urban and Regional Planning
  5. PGD in Urban and Regional Planning with at least a minimum of sixty percent.

How to Apply for LAUTECH Part-Time Form

  • Application forms will be available online.
  • Applicants are expected to register on the University website; www.lautech.edu.ng by completing and submitting the on-line application form and their e-mail address, on the payment of a non-refundable fee of Ten thousand Naira (N10,000:00) only.
  • In completing the online application form, candidates are required to upload their scanned passport photograph with white background showing ears, no cap and no glasses. The scanned passport photograph must be in JPEG (i.e. jpg) and must not be more than 20kb. On submission of the application form, candidates are to print out the Referee Form and an acknowledgement page which will give them access to the venue of the Entrance Examination.

NOTE: All academic programmes advertised are on weekends only (Fridays, Saturdays and sometimes on Sunday)

All applications must be completed and submitted online within four weeks from the date of this advertisement.
