The Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital (MAUTH) Post-Basic Nursing admission state for the 2024/2025 academic session is now open for applications. This is an exciting opportunity for qualified candidates to advance their nursing careers with specialised training.

Post-Basic Nursing Programs Available

MAUTH is offering admission into the following Post-Basic Nursing Programs:

• Perioperative Nursing
• Accident & Emergency Nursing

These programs are designed to provide Registered Nurses (RN) with the advanced theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for effective, safe, and evidence-based nursing practice. The course spans two semesters and focuses on specialised training.

Admission Requirements

To be eligible for these programs, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Registered Nurse: You must be a Registered Nurse with a current practice license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
• Educational Qualifications: At least five (5) credit passes in basic science courses, including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry from WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB O’Level Examinations. A combination of WAEC and NECO results is acceptable.
• Experience: At least one (1) year of post-qualification experience, preferably in an acute care setting.
• Employer Approval: Approval for release by your employer is required for the full-time course commitment.

How to Apply

Interested candidates can obtain the application forms at the office of the various program coordinators at Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital, Yola. The forms are available from 3rd June 2024. To get the form, you must present a payment receipt of Ten Thousand Naira (₦10,000), paid into the Hospital’s Treasury Single Account via REMITA for Nursing Specialty Training.
