The admission covers Postgraduate Diploma, master’s, MBA and Ph.D. programmes.

Admission Requirements
Applicants should check the entry rules for their preferred level before starting the form; PGD, master’s, M.Phil. and Ph.D. routes do not carry the same entry conditions.
Postgraduate Diploma
Applicants for the Postgraduate Diploma need an HND or bachelor’s degree in a relevant course from a recognised tertiary school.
Master’s Degree
Applicants for M.A., M.Sc. or MBA need at least a Second Class Lower degree in a relevant course from MTU or another recognised university.
M.Phil. and Ph.D.
Applicants for M.Phil. and Ph.D. need relevant master’s and bachelor’s degrees.
For direct Ph.D. entry, the applicant needs a CGPA of 3.50 or above on a 5.00 scale.
For M.Phil., the required CGPA range is 3.00 to 3.49.
How to Apply for MTU Postgraduate Admission
Applicants should complete the online form through the MTU fresh application portal.
The online application requires uploads of certificates, transcript, NYSC certificate for Nigerian applicants, statement of purpose, two reference letters and a concept note for proposed research, where the applicant seeks M.Phil. or Ph.D. admission.

Applicants must contact their former school to send the official academic transcript directly to the Registrar through this email address:

MTU states that only applicants whose transcripts are received will be considered.
