Professor Suleiman Bala Mohammed’s Assurance

The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Suleiman Bala Mohammed, has expressed confidence in the timely commencement of the MBBS program. According to him, with the completion and equipping of the College of Medical and Health Sciences Complex, the MBBS program will take off from the next academic session after receiving certification from the National Universities Commission (NUC), the Medical and Dental Health Council, and JAMB.

Acknowledgement of the Project Contributors

During the handover ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor appreciated TETfund and the project’s contractor, Messers Goldmark, for their excellent work on the project. Despite the challenges encountered during the contract execution, the project was delivered according to specification.

Remarks from the Contractor

Engr. S.A. Danladi, the Managing Director of Goldmark Construction Services, expressed his gratitude to the University management for the opportunity to contribute to the University’s development. Although the contract was scheduled for completion in 2022, after being awarded in 2021, the project delivery was delayed until 2023 due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Handover Ceremony Highlights

A major highlight of the ceremony was the handover of the building keys to the Vice-Chancellor. This event was followed by a guided tour of the newly built complex, led by the Acting Director of Physical Planning, Engr. Ahmed Liman.

The construction of the College of Medical and Health Sciences Complex was made possible through the TETfund Annual Intervention Project 2017–2019. The completion of this project marks a significant stride in Nasarawa State University’s commitment to improving health education.
