The University has earned “Full Accreditation” status in 20 of its departments, reflecting its dedication to providing high-quality education and shaping future professionals.

In a memo dated 9th March 2023, delivered to the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Greg Nwakoby, and signed by Arc. S.S Ikani, Deputy Director, Programme Accreditation on behalf of the Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission, it was revealed that 20 out of 21 programs assessed in the exercise received “Full Accreditation” status.

Interim Status in Medicine and Surgery

Although the Medicine and Surgery department received an “Interim status,” the Commission has assured that this will not affect the admission of students into the program within the years under review. The “interim status” indicates that the Commission will revisit the program in the next two years.
