National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) important information to eligible Nigerian graduates who have willfully refused, neglected and failed to serve.
PUBLIC NOTICE: EVASION OF SERVICE
The National Youth Service Corps Management has observed with concern that some eligible Nigerian graduates who were duly mobilized and deployed for National Service have willfully refused, neglected and failed to report or make themselves available for service in a manner directed by the Directorate pursuant to the provisions of Section 2(1) of the National Youth Service Corps Act, Cap. N84, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.

All those that are qualified and have been mobilized and deployed for National Service as stated above but did not report have evaded service. It is a criminal offence punishable under the provisions of Section 13(1)(a) of the NYSC Act as follows:
“Any person:-
(a) who fails to report for service in the service corps in the manner directed by the Directorate, or as the case may be, prescribed pursuant to the provisions of this Act; ..
is guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to a fine of N2,000 or to imprisonment for a term of 12 months or to both such fine and imprisonment.”
However, Management has considered giving a second chance to all the defaulters.
Therefore, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to all eligible Nigerian graduates and those that were mobilized and deployed for National Service during the 2019 Batches ‘A’ and ‘B’ service year or any preceding service year who refused, neglected and failed to make themselves available for service, to ensure that they make themselves available for the 2019 Batch ‘C’ service year. When the NYSC portal opens for online registration, they are to click on the registration link and select REVALIDATION option.
For the avoidance of doubt, Management of the NYSC has put every necessary machinery in place to track and prosecute any person involved in the illegal evasion of National Service.
PUBLIC NOTICE: ABSCONDMENT FROM SERVICE
The National Youth Service Corps Management has observed with concern that some eligible Nigerian graduates who were duly mobilized and deployed for National Service have willfully refused, neglected and failed to serve continuously for a period of one year as specified in the Call-Up instrument, pursuant to the provisions of Section 2(1) of the National Youth Service Corps Act, Cap. N84, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.
It is a criminal offence punishable under the provisions of Section 13(1) (b) of the NYSC Act as follows:
“Any person:-
(b) who refuses to make himself available for service in the service corps continuously for the period specified in subsection (2) of this section,
is guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to a fine of N2,000 or to imprisonment for a term of 12 months or to both such fine and imprisonment.”
However, Management has considered giving a second chance to all the defaulters.
Therefore, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to all those that were mobilized for National Service during the 2019 Batches ‘A’ and ‘B’ service year or any preceding service year but failed to complete service, to make themselves available for the 2019 Batch ‘C’ service year. When the NYSC portal opens for remobilization after the 2019 Batch ‘C’ orientation course, they are to click on the registration link and select REMOBILISATION option.
For the avoidance of doubt, Management of the NYSC has put every necessary machinery in place to track and prosecute any person who has been remobilized as a result of the decision of the Disciplinary Committee but failed to report for National Service.

Comment Text*pls I am helpless,i was posted to Imo but later redeployed to Benue but NYSC kept turning me until our POP,only to be called that my certificate was in Imo and my LI refused giving it to me.
I keep getting no record found,why?does it mean that my skul list hv not been uploaded.pls i need an answer.i hv been checking online for d past two days,still d same story no record found.what could be d problem?
