Federal Polytechnic, Oko Denies Sack of 400 Staff:

The Governing Council of the federal polytechnic, Oko, Wednesday denied allegation that about 400 staff of the institution have been sacked.

Addressing reporters at the council chamber of the polytechnic, chairman of the council, Dr Christian Azubike Odukwe described the allegation as false, adding that it was the handiwork of mischief makers who do not want the place to progress.

” Council desires to mention further that the unfounded rumour about the laying off of 400 staff is false. No such action has been considered or about to take place. It is false”, he stated. (VANGUARD)
