Federal Polytechnic Oko (OKOPOLY) Gets New Registrar

Mr Umeozor Anthony Ogochukwu has been appointed as the substantive Registrar of the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State and his appointment has been approved by the Governing Council of the polytechnic.

The decision was made at the council’s emergency meeting on June 23, according to Acting Public Relations Officer Chijioke Ibeziako.

“The council’s selection board committee had previously conducted interviews for the position of Registrar and forwarded their recommendations to the council.”

“Mr. Ogochukwu, who is from Uga in Anambra State, has worked at the Polytechnic for 15 years as a Deputy Registrar.” He has worked in the polytechnic in a variety of capacities.

“He has an M.Ed (Education) and is a member of the Nigeria Institute of Management” (MNIM). He succeeds Mrs. Ifeoma Ezeokoli, who is acting,” according to the statement.

The Council Chairman, Malam Kale Kawu, expressed satisfaction with the process that resulted in the Registrar’s appointment, and he praised the selection board committee for carrying out their duties with tact and dedication.

Kawu urged the new registrar to bring his wealth of experience to bear in his new assignment and add great value to the polytechnic, describing the registry department as the polytechnic’s engine room.

He requested cooperation and support for the registrar from management and staff.
