The Schwarzman Scholars Program 2024-2025 invites applications from future global leaders. The program fosters a diverse cohort of scholars, providing a comprehensive scholarship including tuition, room & board, health insurance, travel costs, and a personal expenses stipend. Applicants must be current undergraduate students or recent graduates aged between 18-29, with strong English language skills. The applications for the Schwarzman Scholars Program for the academic year 2024-2025 are now open! This transformative program is geared towards assembling a diverse cohort of future leaders hailing from various regions and sectors worldwide. Schwarzman Scholars are young leaders with boundless potential, open-mindedness, and a joint mission – they are the world’s next generation of leaders committed to fostering a deeper understanding between China and the rest of the world.

Eligibility Criteria

Interested applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Applicants currently enrolled in undergraduate degree programs must be on track to successfully complete all degree requirements before August 1 of their Schwarzman Scholars enrollment year.
  • There are no requirements for a specific field of undergraduate study. All fields are welcome, but applicants should articulate how participating in Schwarzman Scholars will help develop their leadership potential within their field.
  • Candidates must be at least 18 but not yet 29 years of age as of August 1 of their Schwarzman Scholars enrollment year (for the Class of 2024-2025, as of August 1, 2024).
  • Applicants must demonstrate strong English skills, as all teaching will be conducted in English. If the applicant’s native language is not English, official English proficiency test scores must be submitted with the application.

Application Process

The application process is completed online and must be submitted electronically once all required questions have been answered. The application form must be completed in English. The application does not need to be completed in one sitting; applicants can access, save, and continue work on their application as often as needed.

The required supporting documents include:

  • A current resume or CV (maximum 2 pages)
  • Two essays: a Leadership Essay (750 words) and a Statement of Purpose (500 words)
  • Scanned and uploaded official transcripts for each degree-granting post-secondary education institution attended
  • Three Letters of Recommendation from individuals who can speak to the applicant’s intellectual abilities, personal characteristics, and leadership potential using specific examples
  • A short video self-introduction of no more than 1 minute

The U.S. and Global application for the class of 2024-2025 are now open from April 12, 2023, to September 19, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. EDT.
