UNIBEN Lifts Suspension of Students' Union Executives
The suspension imposed on the Students’ Union Government (SUG) in the University of Benin (UNIBEN) has been lifted following the interventions by the Edo state government and other stakeholders.

The Senate of the University of Benin has lifted the suspension of the Students’ Union Executives. This followed the letters of appeal by the executives to the Senate and school Management as well as interventions by the Edo state government and other stakeholders.
The Union activities were suspended on 30th March, 2021, as a result of actions by the Union executives to undermine the authority of the school Management in the wake of the re-adjustment of the 2nd-semester calendar.
