UNICAL Confers Emeritus Title on 2 Professors

University of Calabar, UNICAL confers Emeritus Professorship on Prof. Akpan Otu and Prof. Gabriel Ejezie .
The University of Calabar today conferred the rank of Emeritus Professor on Okuku Prof. Akpan Otu and Prof. Gabriel Ejezie. Both scholars are of the College of Medical Sciences and have served the University meritoriously producing several Ph.D, MSC and first degree graduates.

In his remarks shortly after the conferment ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Zana Akpagu, congratulated the duo for qualifying for such high office. He explained that as Emeritus Professors, the University will continue to require their services in teaching, research and community service. The Vice-Chancellor used the occasion to announce the elevation of Dr. Offiong Ani Offiong and Dr. D. D. Eni to the rank of Professor.
Responding on behalf of the recipients, Okuku Prof. Akpan Otu, expressed appreciation to the University for the honour and promised that they would put in their best efforts in the discharge of the new office.
