Introduction

The Staff School, University of Lagos , was established on 10th October, 1966 as a primary school for the children of staff of the university. The school currently has over 1,400 students and over fifty dedicated, qualified and experienced teachers in the two campuses i.e Akoka and Idi-Araba.

The Staff School Board of Governors hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following existing vacancies in the Staff School of the University:

1. Head Teacher

  • Applicants must possess a first degree in B.Sc. (Ed), B.A. (Ed.) in Education with minimum of a second class honours from a recognized University with at least 20 years relevant teaching experience on the job. A Masters degree is an added advantage.
  • Applicants should have completed the NYSC programme or have evidence of exemption from the programme.
  • In addition, applicants should have Teachers Registration Council (TRCN) Certificate.
  • Applicants’ vision for the job should be enclosed in the application.
  • Applicants must not be older than 55 years of age.
  • Applicants must be computer literate.
  • The salary is competitive and comparable with those of similar schools.
  • The successful applicant shall serve a five-year term.
  • Qualified and Interested internal candidates are free to apply.

2. Deputy Head Teachers

  • Applicants must possess a first degree in B.Sc. (Ed), B.A. (Ed.) in Education with minimum of a second class honours from a recognized University with at least 17 years teaching experience with relevant post qualification of the job.
  • Applicants should have completed the NYSC programme or have evidence of exemption from the programme.
  • In addition, applicant should have Teachers Registration Council (TRC) Certificate.
  • Applicant’s vision for the job should be enclosed in the application.
  • Applicants must not be older than 55 years of age.
  • Applicants must be computer literate.
  • The salary is competitive and comparable with those of similar schools.
  • The successful applicant shall serve a two-year term but renewable once upon satisfactory performance.
  • Qualified and interested internal candidates qualified are free to apply.
