University of Lagos, UNILAG students protested against epileptic power supply, lack of water and the rise in pure water price on the campus.

UNILAG-PROTEST

Students of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) on Tuesday blocked the major road leading to the university to protest against epileptic power supply, poor water supply and high rise in pure water price on campus.

The protest was held at different sections of the school, including the Senate building and the Assembly Hall where the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Rahman Bello, was hosting a number of dignitaries for 2016 First Award Winners’ Lecture.

They said: “There is no water in any hostel as at this (yesterday) morning. Students that managed to take their bath were those that fetched water yesterday (Tuesday) or that had reserved water days before and to crown it all, there is no light”.
