At the 36th Matriculation Ceremony of the University of Port-Harcourt (UNIPORT), the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Joseph Ajienka, said, 6,930 students were admitted into the various undergraduate programmes offered by the institution for the 2014/2015 academic session.
The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Joseph Ajienka, urged the newly admitted students to shun cultism, truancy and examination malpractice as the authorities of the university would sanction students who flouted its rules and regulations.
He also stated that students who failed to attend the minimum of 75 per cent lectures bench mark would not be allowed to sit for examinations.
