As a newly admitted student of Zamfara State University (ZAMSU), it’s essential to understand the registration procedure for the 2023/2024 academic session. This detailed guide will walk you through each step of the process, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition into your university life.

Initial Login and Account Setup

  1. Accessing the ZAMSU Portal: Begin by navigating to ZAMSU’s Student Information System http://www.sis.zamsut.edu.ng/. Use your Jamb number as both your “username” and “password” to log in.
  2. Password Management: Once logged in, you can change your password under “My Account”. If a password change isn’t necessary, simply proceed to the next step.

Fee Payment and Verification

  1. Generating Remita Invoice: Click on the “Applicant” tab, then select “Evidence of Admission”. Here, you’ll be prompted to generate a remita invoice for the Acceptance fee, Verification fee, and TSHIP fee, totaling ₦10,000. This amount is payable at any commercial bank.
  2. Verifying Payment: After making the payment, return to the ZAMSU portal and click on “Verify Payment” to confirm the transaction.
  3. Printing Receipts: Once your payment is verified, you can print receipts for Acceptance, Verification, and TSHIP fees.

Admission Confirmation and Course Registration

  1. Screening and Confirmation Letter: Proceed to the Admission Confirmation Venue/Centre for screening and to collect your confirmation letter.
  2. Registration Fees Payment: Log back into the website to generate a remita invoice for the Registration fees, payable at any commercial bank.
  3. Payment Verification: After payment, verify it on the portal by clicking “Verify payment”, then print the payment receipt.
  4. Course Registration: With payment verified, click on the “registration” link under the “course” tab to register your courses.

Finalising Your Registration

  1. Registration Forms: Obtain registration materials/forms, fill them out, and return them for signing at the academic division.
  2. Bursary Department Visit: Go to the Bursary Department for signing and stamping on your Form 02 and payment receipt.
  3. File Preparation: Finally, collect three (3) extra files. Fill them and make copies of all your credentials and registration materials/forms for these files. Distribute them to the Students’ Affairs Officer, Faculties, and Departments.
