The Imo State Polytechnic, Umuagwo, has expelled eight students and sanctioned 22 others over examination malpractice and other offences.
A statement issued by the management through the Public Relations Officer of the institution Mr. Darlington Oparaocha, said the expelled students were caught in acts which are capable of destroying lives and property of staff and students of the polytechnic.
He added that the 22 students who were sanctioned were apprehended with external materials in examination halls, adding that they were all made to sign undertaking never to indulge in such act.
The institution warned staff and lecturers against examination malpractice.
