IAUE Post UTME Screening Modalities and Procedures 2023/24

Attention all prospective students of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE)! The university has made a major announcement about the admission process for the 2023/2024 academic session. Here’s everything you need to know.

🖥️ Screening Mode	Fully online; no physical presence required
📈 Admission Test	No Post-UTME; JAMB UTME 100% score used. Direct Entry candidates screened via uploaded documents
📑 Data Source	JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS); also uploaded to the university portal
🔄 Course Changes	Candidates with high UTME scores but not ranked well will be notified for course change. Must adhere to JAMB Integrated Brochure and Syllabus System (IBASS) criteria
🔍 Monitoring	Regularly check admission status on JAMB portal; possible changes include course change and data corrections
📳 Contact Method	Via personal phone numbers (used during registration); text messages will be cross-checked on the University’s website and social media. No duplicate phone numbers allowed
📜 Awaiting Result	Online screening will occur when O’level results are available on JAMB and University portals

Online Screening: Stay Home & Stay Safe

The entire screening process for the upcoming academic session will be conducted online. This means that every candidate hoping to secure a spot at IAUE should stay at home and follow the screening process virtually. There’s no need to travel or visit the campus.

No Post-UTME? That’s Right!

If you were gearing up for a Post-UTME test, there’s some good news. The university has decided that there won’t be any additional tests. Your JAMB UTME score will account for 100% of the admission score. For those coming in through the Direct Entry route, don’t fret! Your documents uploaded will be thoroughly screened.

How Admission Processing Works

The university will primarily use the data provided via JAMB’s Central Admission Processing System (CAPS). If you excelled in the JAMB UTME but weren’t well-ranked, don’t lose hope. You may receive a notification suggesting a course change, ensuring that your admission process can continue smoothly. Just remember, it’s essential to match the required UTME and O’level combinations as specified by JAMB’s Integrated Brochure and Syllabus System (IBASS).

Action Points for Candidates

Stay proactive and keep a close eye on your admission status on the JAMB portal. Updates may require you to:

• Change your course within a specified time.
• Correct specific data details.

If there are any such requirements, the university will notify you via a secured text message. But, always cross-check any such news on the university’s official website or social media pages. A word to the wise: Ensure the phone number you used during registration is yours alone. The university strictly prohibits duplicate phone numbers.

For those with O’level Awaiting Result, a separate online screening will be arranged once your results are available on both JAMB and the University’s portal. So, stay calm and keep an eye out for the new screening date.
