Nile University invites qualified candidates to apply for the 2023/2024 session at its School of Preliminary Studies. This intensive, full-time course offers a unique opportunity for students seeking direct entry to any university, including Nile University itself.

The 9-month program provides students with an in-depth understanding of subjects related to their desired degree program. A blend of Nigerian and foreign A-level courses ensures students meet the requirements for direct entry admission to 200 level at Nile University or any other tertiary institution of their choice within Nigeria or overseas.

Who Can Apply?

Candidates who possess a minimum of five credits in English, Mathematics, and three other relevant subjects in WAEC/NECO/NABTEB/IGCSE or their equivalent at a maximum of two sittings are eligible to apply. Those who wish to gain university admission through direct entry without JAMB, or those who wish to switch disciplines, for example from Arts to Sciences, can also apply.

In addition to compulsory courses, students choose three subjects relevant to their intended degree program. Here are the subject combinations for various courses:

Arts and Social Sciences

Public and International Law

Medical and Biological Sciences

  • Medicine, Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, Public Health: Biology, Chemistry, Physics
