Dr. T.A Odetayo Appointed as OSPOLY Iree's 6th Rector


Dr. Tajudeen Adewale Odetayo has been appointed as OSPOLY Iree's Sixth Substantive Rector. Announced by His Excellency Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, the appointment marks a new chapter in the institution's history, as Dr. Odetayo leads OSPOLY Iree towards academic excellence and growth.

The Polytechnic community recently received exciting news as the Executive Governor of the state and Visitor to the institution, His Excellency Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, announced the appointment of Dr. Tajudeen Adewale Odetayo as the Sixth Substantive Rector of Osun State Polytechnic (OSPOLY), Iree. This prestigious appointment, which commenced on Friday, March 10th, 2023, is set to last for a period of four years.

This significant development was officially conveyed through a letter dated March 10th, 2023, with the signature of the Head of Service, Mr. Ayanlere Aina. As the newly appointed Rector, Dr. Odetayo is poised to lead the institution into a promising future, striving for excellence in academics and overall growth.

About Dr. Tajudeen Adewale Odetayo 

Born on June 22, 1962, Dr. Odetayo hails from Ode-Omu, located in the Ayedaade Local Government Area of the State. As a respected Chief Lecturer in the Accounting Department, Dr. Odetayo boasts an impressive academic background.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, a Doctorate in Educational Planning and Policy from the prestigious University of Ibadan, and a Doctorate in Management Science from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology in Ogbomoso.

Dr. Odetayo’s professional affiliations include his Fellowships with the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Chartered Institute of Bankers. Furthermore, he is a member of the Nigeria Institute of Taxation.

A prolific scholar, Dr. Odetayo has made significant contributions to the academic community, with 24 published journal articles, 10 conference papers, and six books to his name.
