Polytechnic Ibadan Expels 6 Students over Involvement in Cultism


The management of the Polytechnic Ibadan released the names of students expelled from the institution over involvement in cult activities.

The Registrar of polytechnic Ibadan, Mr Hezekiah Ayodele, has signed a statement on behalf of the management that indicates the expulsion of six students from the institution over their involvement in cult activities in the school.

According to him, the students had appeared before the students’ Disciplinary Committee and were found guilty of fraternizing with an illegal cult group called Buccaneer, with attendant engagement in activities that endangered the life of staff and students of the institution.

The names of the affected students: Adigun Olawale, Oluwatimilehin Samson Gbenga, Olosunde Paul, Oladosu Adams Layinka, Olayiwola Bariyu,(all the five students are National Diploma ll, of the department of Accountancy and Gobe Martins O, a diploma ll student in the department of Surveying and Geo-Infomatics.)

Finally, the institution has called on the parents and the public to note that the aforementioned students have no academic relationship with the school, hence.
