Covenant Varsity Awarded 2013 Best Private Varsity in Nigeria:

The year 2013 ended on a good note for Covenant University, as the Centre for Democratic Governance in Africa (CDGA) awarded her the Best Private University in Nigeria, while the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Charles K. Ayo was inducted an honorary member of the centre.


The award, which was conferred on the University on Friday, December 27, 2013 by the body, led by the Director-General of the Centre, Dr. Dafe Akpocha, was done after thorough consultations with the regulatory body of universities in the country, the National Universities Commission (NUC) and visits to all private universities in the country.

Dr. Akpocha commended the Chancellor, Dr. David Oyedepo for the noble initiative of modelling Covenant University to the standard of world-class institutions. He averred that Covenant University has gradually over the years become synonymous with the advancement of good governance in Africa.
