Etisalat Launches Cliqlite to Unleash E-Learning in Schools

Etisalat launches a child-friendly educational product called Cliqlite to unleash e-learning in schools.

With Nigerian children under 15 years of age accounting for about 45 per cent of the country’s population, according to report, the burden on e-learning is becoming overwhelming, particularly with technology gaining continuous influence in every area of human activity.

Apart from the fact that these children do not receive early IT education, forty percent of Nigerian children aged 6-11 are not enrolled in any primary school with the Northern region recording the lowest school attendance rate in the country, particularly for girls.

But with the launch of Etisalat child-friendly educational product called Cliqlite, there are positive signals that it will serve as early intervention in children’s digital education in Nigeria.

Unique innovation

Designed for children between the ages of eight to 15 years, the service is available via short code to all prepaid packages and provides unique features in addition to intuitive interface for e-learning.

For the mobile operator, it is a way of making sure that future generation is equipped with the right tools to successfully harness and hone their burgeoning potential in digital education.

Cliqlite’ is an educational tool with applications for learning and syllabus focused on important education landmarks including series of JAMB, SSCE and IGCSE past questions, 14 NERDC Syllabus text books, IGCSE text books (optional), interactive lessons and Norton parental control app to enable parents/guardians monitor online activities of their children/wards.
